Halls had a professional ringer from Australia who , I recall, delighted in scareing the living daylights out of the old dears playing Bowls on the adjacent rink. Sixes rained down on them as they amassed a massive total of 340 On this occasion it was a precocius schoolboy who scored 131 on a small pitch with short boundaries.
